The Orlan Express commuter trains running on the Ufa-Kumertau-Orenburg route are in high demand by residents of Bashkiria and the Orenburg region. On peak days, the Kuibyshev Railway Directorate reported that the number of cars on this route increased to 6.
Given the annual growth in passenger traffic, the RA-3 Orlan rail bus will be replaced in July 2025 with the Finist electric train, an innovative rolling stock of domestic production, to ensure passenger comfort along the route.
The 5-car version of the Finist has 409 seats (the total capacity of the train is 1,263 people), while the Orlan has 229 seats. The number of sanitary modules on the train has increased from two to three, and there are changing tables. The train has places for wheelchairs and lifts to be installed. The carriages are equipped with a microclimate and air disinfection system.
