Over the six years since the national project "International Cooperation and Export " was implemented, Bashkiria's agricultural producers have increased their supplies abroad by 2.8 times: in 2019, the export volume in the republic's agrarian sector amounted to 330.9 thousand tons for $112.6 million, in 2024, the figures increased to 620 thousand tons for $320.9 million.
As noted in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the republic actively trades with 41 countries worldwide. These are the CIS countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Belarus), China, India, Iran, Iraq, Algeria, and others.
Traditionally, a significant part of the export structure is based on the supply of oil and fat products (more than 68%), about 14% of food products, and more than 7% of grain crops.
The country's authorities have set the task of increasing agricultural exports by 2030 by at least 1.5 times compared to the 2021 level. A strategy for the next 6 years is being developed to identify priority goods and supply countries. The document will be presented at the 35th international exhibition, "Agrocomplex," in March in Ufa.
Exports are planned to increase to $651.2 million by 2030, or twofold by 2021 ($328 million in 2021).
Currently, Bashkiria supplies dry milk to African countries. According to Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, the government needs to develop further and find buyers on the African continent for Bashkir sugar, grain, sunflower oil, and other products.
