According to the United Credit Bureau, in December, Bashkiria residents received 2,477,000 mortgages—12% more than in November. The total was 9.14 billion rubles (+ 16% compared to the previous month).
The average mortgage check at the end of last year was 3.69 million rubles, and the average term was 23.5 years.
According to the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, mortgage issuance began to decline noticeably in the spring, even before the cancellation of the preferential mortgage "for everyone." This is the effect of high interest rates. As of December 1, 2024, the total number of mortgages was 159.66 billion rubles—a third (33.6%) less than December 1, 2023.
For comparison, in December 2022, banks issued almost 7.2 thousand mortgage loans to republic residents for 22.3 billion rubles. In the first four months of 2023, more than 20.4 thousand mortgages were issued for 60 billion rubles.
