Russian Ministry of Finance reported on federal budget state
The Russian Ministry of Finance gave a preliminary assessment of the execution of the federal budget in 2024. The revenue volume is 36.7 trillion rubles, of which 25.57 trillion came from non-oil and gas revenues (mainly taxes and other payments to the treasury).
Last year's expenses amounted to 40.19 trillion rubles. The deficit was about 3.5 trillion rubles, with a primary deficit of 3.1 trillion rubles.
"The execution of the federal budget by the parameters of the primary structural deficit determined within the framework of the transition period of 2024, along with the use and formation of funds from the National Security Fund within the framework of the "budget rule" mechanism, ensured the sustainability of the budget system, a stable level of borrowing and public debt," the Ministry of Finance commented.
