Deposit Insurance Agency excluded five banks from deposit insurance system

The Deposit Insurance Agency reported on the banki.ru website that five credit institutions—Sarovbiznesbank, Otkritie, Rosbank, Prioritet, and Perviy Depozdny banks—were excluded from the register of banks participating in the deposit insurance system.

“The decisions on the specified credit institutions were made in connection with the introduction of the corresponding entries in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities,” the statement said.

In particular, Sarovbiznesbank and Otkritie's activities were terminated through reorganization involving a merger with BM-Bank.

Rosbank's activities were also terminated through reorganization through a merger. The legal successor of the legal entity that ceased its activities is T-Bank.

Two more banks, Prioritet and Perviy Depozdny, were excluded from the deposit insurance system due to their liquidation.

Currently, 585 credit institutions participate in the deposit insurance system. Of these, 288 are operating banks licensed to attract deposits from individuals and open and maintain bank accounts for individuals.

Another three operating credit institutions have lost the right to attract deposits from individuals and to open and maintain bank accounts for individuals. Liquidation procedures are being carried out for another 294 credit institutions.
