The regional office of Rosselkhoznadzor reported that last year, Bashkiria increased the export of seeds for sowing by 1.5 times compared to 2023. In total, 246 batches of seeds of grain, legumes, forage, and oil crops exported from the republic abroad were inspected and processed during the year, totaling 5,003 tons.
Seeds of vetch, sweet clover, ryegrass, awnless brome, alfalfa, oats, wheat, Sudan grass, sainfoin, and barley were shipped to Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan for sowing.
All batches of seeds underwent the necessary tests in the Bashkir testing laboratory. The examinations did not detect quarantine organisms in the seed material, and all shipped products met the requirements of the importing countries. For comparison, last year, 194 lots of vetch, mustard, sweet clover, clover, alfalfa, lotus, sainfoin, wheat, and barley seeds were exported from Bashkiria for sowing, totaling more than 3,870 tons.
