A regional survey of employers has identified the most promising professions in the Bashkortostan labor market. Soon, the most in-demand specialists will be in mechanical engineering, computer science and computing, and construction technology. The forecast for the medium-term (2025-2027) and long-term (2025-2034) periods, formed by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic, was announced at a meeting of the Coordination Committee for Personnel Provision of the Sectors of the Economy of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
"In 2024, over 13 thousand organizations of the republic with more than 617 thousand employees were surveyed in the improved platform - the subsystem for monitoring and forecasting the personnel needs of the regional segment of the GAS "Management." This is 12% or 1.5 thousand organizations more than a year earlier. The coverage of employers primarily determines the accuracy of the forecast and allows for detailed analytics on the demand for personnel throughout the republic and in the context of districts and cities,” said Lenara Ivanova, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Bashkortostan.
In the next 3 years, the greatest need for personnel falls on the following large groups of specialties: mechanical engineering - 22 thousand workers; computer science and computing equipment - 15.7 thousand specialists; construction equipment and technology - 15.7 thousand professionals, agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 12.5 thousand workers, applied geology, mining, oil and gas, and geodesy - 11 thousand specialists. The results of the forecast of the need for personnel for the medium and long term are considered when setting and adjusting the target figures for admission by educational organizations of the republic. They are also used in developing industry development strategies.
The Minister also noted that this mechanism allows for the development of systemic interdepartmental work, considering national projects, company investment plans, and the development prospects of cities, districts, and territories of rural settlements in the republic.
