Temporary disability benefits have increased in Russia
According to the Social Fund of Russia's Telegram channel, temporary disability benefits increased this year. In 2025, sick leave will be paid up to 5,673.97 rubles daily.
“To calculate sick leave, the average earnings for the previous two years are taken. The amount of the benefit depends on the insurance period and the salary: with experience of more than 8 years - 100%; with experience from 5 to 8 years - 80%; with experience less than 5 years - 60%,” the report specifies.
The maximum monthly benefit for someone with 8 years of experience is 172,488.69 rubles. If earnings are less than the minimum wage or the insurance period is less than 6 months, the average daily earnings are calculated using the minimum wage, which this year is 22,440 rubles.
