Konstantin Pappe, head of the Ufa administration's department for construction and repair of roads and artificial structures, discussed the progress of the project to connect Salavat Yulaev Avenue and Kuvykina Street during a briefing on the BST TV channel, which Ruslan Sharafutdinov, the editor-in-chief of the Bashinform News Agency, hosted.
"The city foresaw that Stepan Kuvykina and Sofya Perovskaya streets would become overloaded after traffic opened along General Rylenko Street. To relieve them, work is underway to create a new transport corridor, which the city administration called the "Road of Life." It includes the reconstruction of Rabkorov Street and the construction of Vysotnaya Street as part of the national project "Safe High-Quality Roads." Work on Rabkorov and Vysotnaya Streets will be completed at the end of 2025," said Konstantin Pappe.
The "Road of Life" transport corridor also includes the construction of a one-kilometer-long extension of Aiskaya Street to Mendelleva Street, which will allow automobile traffic to be diverted from Zelenaya Roshcha to Salavat Yulaev Avenue. The Aiskaya extension project has already been developed, and a positive conclusion from the state expert review has been received.
