Bashkortostan agro-industrial complex produced goods worth 250 billion rubles

In 2024, Bashkortostan's agriculture produced goods worth more than 250 billion rubles, 1% higher than last year. Deputy Prime Minister—Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov announced this at a meeting of the republican government.

Despite challenging weather conditions, enterprises increased crop production by 8.6% and farmers—by 3.9%. Farms received 3 million tons of grain, and industrial crops yielded record yields: almost 2.64 million tons of sugar beets were grown (+ 56%) and 736 thousand tons of oilseeds (+ 39%). Work continued to improve and develop unused lands.

Since the beginning of the year, farmers have purchased about 2.4 thousand new equipment units for 11 billion rubles, 1 billion rubles less than last year's purchases. Over the past five years, agricultural machinery purchases have doubled, mainly due to the republic's support. In 2024, 1 billion rubles were allocated from the regional budget to reimburse 50% of purchasing machinery and equipment costs.

According to the results of the first eleven months of 2024, 732 thousand tons of milk were produced (+2.8%). The active construction of new complexes and the reconstruction and modernization of existing ones were essential factors in the development of livestock farming. Since 2018, 21 industrial dairy farms have reached their design capacity, producing about 42% of all milk.

Meat production has also increased: 380 thousand tons in 11 months - 3.6% more than last year.

Republican enterprises produce almost the entire range of essential food products. The region fully satisfies its needs for milk and dairy products (122%), pork (250%), beef (153%), sugar (6.7 times), vegetable oil (7 times), potatoes (147%), fresh cucumbers (118%) and tomatoes (172%).

From January to October 2024, the region produced 2 million tons of food and beverages worth 151 billion rubles. The industrial production index of food products was +36.5%, and drinks—+10%.

The growth in volumes allows for export trade. In just 11 months, about 567 thousand tons of agricultural products worth $290 million were sent abroad. Bashkir products are supplied to 41 countries, including the CIS, China, India, Iran, Iraq, Algeria, and others.

The agricultural sector is one of the flagships of the region's economy. Bashkiria consistently ranks among the country's most significant agricultural areas, producing milk, meat, honey, and food products. Prime Minister Andrei Nazarov noted that Bashkir farmers had to work in harsh conditions this year, but they completed all the key tasks set for the industry.
