Bashkiria exported large batch of oil flax to Europe

The Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for Bashkiria reported that agricultural enterprises in the Abzelilovsky and Sterlibashevsky districts exported 879 tons of food flax to EU countries.

Employees of the supervisory agency inspected the oil crop before it was shipped to Belgium, Latvia, Germany, Poland, and Switzerland, as required by the importing countries and the EU. Flax samples underwent entomological and herbological studies in the Bashkir testing laboratory, which is subordinate to Rosselkhoznadzor.

“According to the results of the studies, no dangerous quarantine organisms were detected. Bashkir flax meets the requirements of the importing country,” the Rosselkhoznadzor emphasized.

In November of this year, Bashkiria shipped food flax to Afghanistan for the first time. The flax was grown by farmers in the Meleuzovsky, Sterlitamaksky, and Khaibullinsky districts.

The national project " International Cooperation and Export " is being implemented with the national goal of "Decent and effective work and successful entrepreneurship. " Bashinform reported that its goal is to ensure real growth in the export of non-raw material non-energy goods by at least 70 percent by 2030 compared to 2020.
