The Russian government reported that Bashkiria is among 15 regions that will receive an additional 630 million rubles by the end of the year for the reclamation of agricultural land.
The funds are intended to reimburse agricultural producers for part of the costs of purchasing units and performing soil cultivation work.
Additional funding is estimated to allow for the reclamation and liming of acidic soils in fields covering more than 9.5 thousand hectares.
The federal cabinet's press service noted that this will ensure the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex and strengthen the country's food security.
Since 2018, 26 projects have been implemented in the republic within the framework of the federal program for developing the land reclamation complex. According to data for the spring of this year, there are 15 projects for hydro melioration on 3.7 thousand hectares, 8 for cultural and technical measures on 6 thousand hectares, and 3 for liming acidic soils on 900 hectares.
