Savings market may grow by 21% next year
As the bank noted, Russians keep most of their savings in rubles. According to analysts' forecasts, this year, the market portfolio of retail liabilities in the national currency will increase by 28%, amounting to 52.6 trillion rubles. Next year, the ruble portfolio of deposits, savings, and current accounts will grow by 22.5% and exceed 64 trillion.
At the same time, VTB is growing faster than the market. The bank's retail liability portfolio in all currencies will grow by 1.5 times this year and reach 10.3 trillion, of which 9.6 trillion are liabilities in rubles. Next year, the bank plans to increase customer deposits by 30% (+3 trillion rubles). As a result, the total amount of liabilities of individuals by the end of 2025 will reach 13.3 trillion rubles.
