The press service of the government of Bashkortostan reported that over 800 negotiations were held at the business contacts exchange in Ufa, organized at the XX Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan.

The business meetings were attended by furniture manufacturers, medical equipment, confectionery products, thermal insulation materials, oil and gas equipment, grain, honey, metal products, mineral water, and suppliers of cargo transportation and logistics services.

“A total of 306 companies registered for B2B, 128 of which were from Kazakhstan. 122 enterprises were registered from Bashkortostan and 56 from the regions of Russia. Over 800 business meetings were held at the Business Contacts Exchange over two days, and 80 agreements were reached between entrepreneurs. "The B2B meetings demonstrated high potential for the development of Russian-Kazakh cooperation, and the agreements reached were a significant step towards strengthening business ties between the two countries," said Margarita Bolycheva, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

An essential outcome of the forum was the signing of several memorandums and cooperation agreements between Russian and Kazakh companies. For example, a Bashkir enterprise providing medical services reached an agreement to register the production of medical furniture in Kazakhstan. Several trading enterprises of Bashkortostan will be able to expand the range of confectionery products by concluding agreements with a confectionery factory from Kazakhstan.

As part of the forum, Kazakh companies visited a Bashkir exporter - the Medstalkonstruktsiya medical furniture and equipment plant. This full-cycle enterprise is part of the Mega group of companies and has extensive experience in research, design, and production of medical products. The Kazakh side was interested in Bashkir products, and the companies agreed to hold additional negotiations, the Bashkir government added. On November 27, an exchange of essential documents signed at the forum took place. At the ceremony, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister - Chief of Staff of the Government of Kazakhstan Galymzhan Koishybayev, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov exchanged bilateral memorandums of cooperation with Akim of Aktobe Region Askhat Shakharov and Akim of Kostanay Region Kumar Aksakalov.
