Chinese company plans to assemble its tractors in Bashkiria

The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkiria reported that a Chinese company plans to organize the assembly of tractors in Bashkiria.

Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Government—Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov met with representatives of Hongfeng Heavy Machinery from the Chinese province of Shandong. The company produces tractors, irrigation equipment, and other agricultural and construction equipment.

As the company's president Li Xinfeng said, Hongfeng Heavy Machinery annually produces about 10 thousand tractors, including those with a capacity of 400 hp. Its own production of irrigation systems has been established. The line is oriented towards the markets of Russia and the world, including considering the regions' various climatic conditions.

The day before, representatives of the Chinese company visited the MTC "Bashselkhoztekhnika". At a meeting with Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, Li Xinfeng noted that the site would be perfect for the sale of agricultural machinery, as well as for the first stage of the tractor assembly project.

The head of the agricultural department of Bashkiria said the republic's farmers are interested in tractors with a capacity of 180 to 350 hp and everything related to the irrigation system since this segment is not very busy. He explained that due to climatic features, technological windows during fieldwork in the republic are very short, and every hour is expensive.

As Bashinform previously reported, since 2019, new agricultural machinery worth 64 billion rubles has been purchased in Bashkiria. The industry's technology park has been updated by 60%. Thanks to this, it was possible to reduce the load on the units, their wear and tear, and reduce the time for field work.
