Bashkiria produced 88 thousand tons of sugar
Two sugar factories in Bashkiria produced 88 thousand tons of granulated sugar and processed 632 thousand tons of sugar beets.
This year, sugar beet growers collected a record harvest of root crops—2.5 million tons. Their processing will take longer than usual—almost until spring. As always, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkiria reported that the region will be provided with sugar for its production.
Beet pulp is made from sugar production waste. It is a valuable feed additive in great demand. The other day, Bashkir sugar factories exported more than 3.2 thousand tons of granulated pulp. Since the beginning of the year, they have sold more than 119 thousand tons of this additive abroad.
