Russian Industrial Forum opened in Ufa

On November 12, the Russian Industrial Forum opened, and the exhibitions "Mechanical Engineering," "Metalworking," and "Innovative Potential of Ufa" took place in the Ufa exhibition complex "Expo."

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, noted at the opening ceremony that our country's leading professionals in the mechanical engineering industry, experts, and industrialists gathered here today. More than 100 companies from 20 Russian regions and our partners from Belarus and China presented their developments and technologies.

The head of the region recalled that for the fourth year in a row, the republic has been among the top three leaders in terms of the effectiveness of its industrial policy. In the investment attractiveness rating, we are in the honorable third place in the country.

Today, industry forms almost 40% of our gross regional product. Production last year grew by 8%, and over the first nine months of this year, by another 4.7%.

The leaders of our mechanical engineering are UEC - Ufa Engine-Building Production Association, Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise, and Gydravlika, enterprises of the KAMAZ Group of Companies. Dozens of other significant enterprises also have high indicators.

The mechanical engineering industry employs 52 thousand residents of our republic. It produces engines, helicopters, radio electronics, buses, machine tools, and thousands of parts and devices.

Radiy Khabirov emphasized that all efforts are now aimed at transforming production, robotizing and digitalizing it, increasing labor productivity, and training modern personnel.

The head of the republic also presented state awards of Bashkortostan to representatives of the republic's mechanical engineering industry and valuable gifts to two students of the Ufa Mechanical Engineering College.
