The industrial production index 2024 in Bashkiria is 105%, one percent higher than the Russian average. In the medium term of the next three years, its growth is estimated to be between 105% and 105.8%, which is also higher than the average forecasts for Russia. Acting First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic of Bashkiria Airat Fakhretdinov announced this at a meeting of the State Assembly Committee.
According to him, implementing institutional projects will be an essential factor in the growth of Bashkiria's industry. These include a project to develop units and components for process equipment, replace imported components for machine tools, and a light industry cluster project to produce import-substituting knitwear.
The republic's chemical industry is projected to grow by 23.2% over three years due to the commissioning of new production facilities. This includes an increase in PET production using secondary polymer processing technology, technological re-equipment of the polyethylene concentration unit, and reconstruction of the catalytic reforming unit with a twofold increase in raw material capacity.
In mechanical engineering, growth of 34.7% is planned for three years, which will ensure an increase in production at military-industrial complex enterprises and the release of civilian products. A project for the manufacture of advanced power supply systems and units and an increase in the production of transformer equipment will be implemented in Ufa.
The factories producing buses in Neftekamsk and construction equipment in Tuymazy will significantly contribute to the development of republican mechanical engineering.
