In September, mortgage loans worth almost 11 billion rubles were issued in Bashkiria

The United Credit Bureau (UCB) summarized the mortgage lending results for the first nine months of this year. During this period, Russians took out 929.39 thousand mortgage loans worth 4.01 trillion rubles. Compared to last year's period, the number of loans issued decreased by 36% and the volume by 31%.

In September 2024, banks issued 79.2 thousand mortgage loans worth 343.76 billion rubles. A year ago, in September 2023, Russians took out much more loans - 235.8 thousand for a total of 1.02 trillion rubles. The average mortgage loan size has remained virtually unchanged over the year: in September 2023, it was 4.32 million rubles, and in September 2024 - 4.34 million. The average loan term has increased by 1 month over the year, 22 years, and 2 months in September. According to OKB, Bashkiria is among the top 30 regions regarding the volume of issued mortgage loans, ranking 6th (the top three are Moscow, the Moscow Region, and St. Petersburg). In September 2024, residents of Bashkiria took out 2.95 thousand mortgage loans for 10.96 billion rubles. The average bill was 3.71 million rubles, and the loan term was 23.08 years. Compared to August of this year, the number of loans issued in the region decreased by 15%, the volume by 12%, and the average bill increased by 4%.
