Active growth of corporate lending continues in Russia
According to the Bank of Russia, businesses continue to take out loans actively; loan volumes in September grew by 2% after 1.9% in August. Companies are attracting funds to replenish working capital and finance investment projects.
Mortgages grew by 0.9% in August. The volumes of issued preferential and market mortgages remained at the same level. More than half of the issued mortgages were “Family Mortgages.”
As for consumer lending, the volume of loans to the population decreased almost twofold compared to August — to +0.7 from 1.3%.
People prefer to save instead of buy housing—the volume of funds in the population and companies' accounts increased by 1.3 and 1.8%, respectively.
According to the National Bank of Bashkortostan, the issuance of mortgages in the republic in August decreased by more than half compared to a year ago, although it increased compared to July.
