Minimum wage will increase to 22,440 rubles in Russia in 2025

Tatyana Aksyutina

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced plans to increase the minimum wage. From the beginning of next year, it will be increased by more than 16.5% to 22,440 rubles.

"This will help increase the wages of about 4 million workers," Mikhail Mishustin said.

The Prime Minister said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers that accelerating the minimum wage growth is necessary; by 2030, it should reach 35,000 rubles.

In early September, Anton Kotyakov, the head of the Russian Ministry of Labor, announced that the draft law on increasing the minimum wage to 22,400 rubles would be submitted to the State Duma before October 1.
