Investment project implementation allowed to increase sugar production in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, the Chishminsky sugar plant began processing beets. The enterprise plans to process at least 1 million tons of root crops in the new season, 25% more than last year. The enterprise completed a large-scale modernization in 2024. Updating the equipment and launching high-tech lines allowed double the sugar production capacity and quadrupled the dry granulated beet pulp production. In particular, this year, the plant installed new equipment for cleaning and washing sugar beets. The press service of the government of Bashkiria reported this.

Earlier, the Raevsakhar company also began processing sugar beets. It has already produced 13.4 thousand tons of sugar, processing more than 109 thousand tons of root crops. The enterprise also carried out modernization. Now, its capacity allows the processing of up to 6 thousand tons of raw materials daily. In Bashkortostan, both sugar production facilities — the Chishminsky Sugar Plant and the Raevsakhar company — have modernized their production facilities, implemented large investment projects, and can now jointly process 2 or more million tons of sugar beet per season.

Modernization of production facilities in various industries is becoming possible thanks to the introduction of new tools to support investors and businesses. Bashkiria is one of the leading regions. The heads of federal government bodies and experts have repeatedly recognized this. One of these practices is investment hours, which have been regularly held since 2018 at different levels, depending on the scale of the project — from the republican level, with the participation of the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, to the municipal level. Entrepreneurs can present their initiative to experts and receive the necessary support measures if the region needs it.

"Investment hours" are currently an effective tool for interacting with businesses and making quick management decisions, says the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov. From 2019 to 2023, 553 projects worth 11.0128 trillion rubles were considered at the Investment Hours, creating 81,323 new jobs.
