From January 9 to September 10, 2024, the Rosselkhoznadzor Office in Bashkiria inspected and processed 212 batches of leguminous, forage, and oilseed seeds prepared by the region's seed growers for export to the countries of the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union.
"The total volume of inspected seed material amounted to 4,282 tons. This is more than three times higher than the data for the same period in 2023 when Bashkiria sold 70 batches of seeds abroad with a total weight of 1,352 tons," the supervisory agency said.
Samples of vetch, sweet clover, awnless brome, alfalfa, oats, wheat, Sudan grass, sainfoin, and barley seeds for sowing underwent a series of studies in the Bashkir testing laboratory. According to the examination results, all seeds fully comply with the quarantine phytosanitary requirements of the importing countries: the Republic of Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Within the framework of the national goal of "Decent and effective work and successful entrepreneurship," the national project "International Cooperation and Export" is being implemented. Its goal is to ensure an actual increase in the export of non-raw material non-energy goods by at least 70 percent by 2030 compared to 2020.
