11 billion rubles of mortgage loans were issued in month in Bashkiria

The press service of the United Credit Bureau reported that Bashkiria was among Russia's Top five regions regarding mortgage lending in August 2024.

Moscow is in first place in the conditional rating, with 5.46 thousand loans for 39.73 billion rubles. Moscow Region took second place, with 4.26 thousand loans for 24.46 billion rubles. St. Petersburg closed the top three, with 3.35 thousand loans for 18.50 billion rubles. Krasnodar Region is fourth, with 2.67 thousand loans for 11.94 billion rubles. Bashkiria took fifth place, with 3.19 thousand loans for 11.21 billion rubles.

In August of this year, banks issued 80.29 thousand mortgage loans for 332.88 billion rubles nationwide. In annual terms, the number of issues decreased by 63% and the volume by 64%. In August last year, 216.01 thousand mortgage loans were issued for 913.35 billion rubles.

The average mortgage loan size decreased by 2% over the year - from 4.23 million rubles in August 2023 to 4.15 million rubles in August 2024. The average mortgage lending term increased by 9 months over the year: from 259 months in August last year to 268 months in August this year.

Over the eight months of this year, Russians took out 843.62 thousand mortgage loans for 3.64 trillion rubles. Compared to the same period in 2023, the issues decreased by 30%, and the volume increased by 24%. From January to August last year, 1.21 million mortgages were issued for 4.77 trillion rubles.
