Bashkiria's exports to CIS countries amounted to more than 78%

The regional government reported that, for the first seven months of this year, Bashkiria's total trade turnover with the CIS countries was 78.7%, represented by the republic's export deliveries, as part of implementing the national project "International Cooperation and Export."

"Bashkortostan's export deliveries to the CIS markets are quite diverse. In the first half of 2024, the export base comprised 34.5% mineral products, 29.6% chemical products, rubber, and 9.3% wood, pulp, and paper products. Food and raw materials, metals and metal products, and engineering products were also supplied," said Margarita Bolycheva, Acting Minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Congress Activities of Bashkiria.

16 cooperation documents and 23 documents with the CIS countries have been signed between Bashkiria and the EAEU states.

From January to July 2024, the republic's exports to the EAEU countries amounted to 72.9% of the total trade turnover. In the first half of this year, mainly chemical products, rubber, wood pulp and paper, other goods, textiles, textile products, footwear, metals, and products made from them were exported to international markets.

Margarita Bolycheva also noted that the republic cooperates with Belarus, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and China. Over the past five years, about 320 visits have been made to these countries.
