Sugar beet yield exceeded 43 tons/ha in Bashkiria
Beet-growing farms in Bashkiria harvested root crops on about 5.4 thousand hectares, having dug up 234 thousand tons of root crops, 62 thousand tons of which were removed from the fields. This year, beets are pleasing with a high yield, the Ministry of Agriculture noted - an average of 43.4 tons/ha. Last year, according to the harvesting results, the average yield was 34.4 tons / ha - 14% higher than in 2022.
Both sugar factories of the republic are actively procuring raw materials. The Raevsakhar company procured 61 thousand tons of root crops, almost 40 thousand tons of which were processed and produced 4 thousand tons of sugar. The Chishminsky sugar plant has procured 9 thousand tons of beets, and processing is planned to start in the coming days.
Other work is also continuing in the fields. Forage crops were mown on an area of 574 thousand hectares. Farmers prepared 1.174 million tons of haylage, 105% of the planned volume, 156 thousand tons of hay (71%), and 101 thousand tons of hay (13%).
