Bashkortostan industry showed growth of 5.1% this year

The State Assembly—Kurultai of the Republic of Bashkortostan—held a committee meeting on industry, innovative development, trade, entrepreneurship, and tourism.

The deputies heard information on implementing the law "On industrial policy in the Republic of Bashkortostan." Timur Gerasimov, the republic's first deputy minister of industry, energy, and innovation, made the report. In his speech, he focused on the main indicators of industrial development.

"The industrial production index for the seven months of 2024 amounted to 105.1% of the same period in 2023. The volume of products shipped by our production, completed work, and services for 7 months of 2024 amounted to 1.6 trillion rubles. Based on the results of 2023, the Republic of Bashkortostan took first place in the effectiveness of the industrial policy of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. I want to note that over the past 4 years, we have not only been among the top three regions in the rating every year but have also topped it three times. Anton Alikhanov noted during his recent visit that this is a sign of excellence, and the republic sets very high standards for other regions."

Timur Gerasimov spoke in detail about various areas of support from the state. One of the effective tools to stimulate industrial production development in the republic today is a set of measures for state support of enterprises. Over the past 5 years, more than 12 billion rubles have been allocated through the budget of the Republic of Bashkortostan to support industry. Thanks to the current republican support programs, it was possible to double the production volumes of light industry enterprises over five years.
