15 enterprises became Bashkir furniture cluster members

15 Russian enterprises specializing in the production of furniture, fittings, and components became part of the Bashkiria furniture industrial cluster. Deputy Prime Minister—Minister of Industry, Energy and Innovation Alexander Sheldyaev spoke about the cluster's work.

“Clusters are the most important instrument of regional industrial policy. They revive cooperative ties. In 2022, our republic became the first in Russia to register a furniture cluster at the federal level. As part of its work, it plans to introduce innovative solutions and expand the range of enterprises' products. Cluster participants are working on creating joint projects, which allows them to increase competitiveness and strengthen their market positions, " the Ministry of Industry head said.

The cluster was created based on the Tuymazinsky furniture factory "Korona," which has been producing orthopedic mattresses, interior beds, and other sleep products since 2005. Factory Director Ramil Mamleev emphasized that the cluster participants actively assist each other in supplying components.

The press service of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan noted that the creation of a furniture cluster contributes to the development of the local economy as a whole. Increasing production volumes and expanding the product range create additional tax revenues for the republic's budget, which can be used for social programs and infrastructure development. The cluster is focused on the domestic market and exports, which opens up new horizons for local producers.
