The foreign trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Uzbekistan for the first half of 2024 increased by 32.3% compared to the first half of 2023. The work is being carried out within the framework of implementing the national project "International Cooperation and Export."
Trade turnover with this country consisted of more than 80% of exports of Bashkortostan goods, the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Bashkortostan reported.
According to the results for January-June of this year, they increased by 30.8% compared to the corresponding period in 2023. In January-March 2024, deliveries from Bashkortostan to Uzbekistan were mainly mineral, chemical, rubber, wood, and pulp and paper products.
In addition, Uzbekistan imported food products and raw materials, including dairy products, eggs, honey, cereals, metals and metal products, engineering products, other goods, textiles, textiles and footwear. Representative of Bashkortostan to the Russian Trade Mission in Uzbekistan, Azat Askarov, noted that joint projects also contribute to developing partnerships with this country.
“We are actively developing mutually beneficial cooperation with our Uzbek colleagues. Currently, projects in the agro-industrial complex, construction industry, tourism, and education are at the implementation stage,” said Azat Askarov.
