FAS has suggested that retail chains voluntarily limit prices on household appliances
The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia has suggested that the retail chains DNS, M.Video, and Citylink limit prices and markups on a number of popular appliances. This was reported by the FAS press service.
The agency recalled that last year, the largest retail chains took on voluntary obligations to limit prices and markups. This prevented a possible increase in the cost of household appliances and electronics.
"Such a practice also makes it possible to increase the availability of goods in demand among the population," the experts emphasized.
The Russian FAS also reminded market participants of the importance of adhering to the principles of responsible pricing and preventing unjustified price increases.
As Bashinform reported this spring, the Federal Antimonopoly Service began checking the largest retail chains for anticompetitive agreements on egg prices.
