An agricultural enterprise in the Khaibulinsky district of Bashkiria exported 75 tons of dried chickpeas, a traditional legume crop for the Middle East, to Kazakhstan, the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for the region reported.
Chickpea samples from Bashkiria underwent laboratory examinations in a testing laboratory.
“Based on the test results, no quarantine pests were detected in the products. The dried chickpeas fully comply with the requirements of the importing country,” the supervisory agency emphasized.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, in July of this year, the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for Bashkiria inspected 94 tons of food chickpea seeds for export to Kazakhstan. The batch of chickpeas prepared by the enterprise from the Khaibulinsky district of Bashkiria underwent laboratory tests for phytosanitary safety following the requirements of the EAEU.
Let us recall that, within the national goal of "Decent and effective work and successful entrepreneurship," the national project "International Cooperation and Export" is being implemented. Its goal is to ensure real growth in the export of non-resource, non-energy goods of at least 70 percent by 2030 compared to 2020, Bashinform reported.
