Bashkiria has harvested the first 100 thousand tons of new crop grain, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Bashkiria reported. Farmers harvest grain, legumes, and oilseeds.
Farms in 26 districts of the republic are harvesting winter grain crops. Almost 30 thousand hectares have been mown and threshed. The gross grain harvest amounted to 102 thousand tons, yielding nearly 3.5 tons per hectare. Most of the harvest is winter wheat grain—94.5 thousand tons—the rest is rye, triticale, and other crops.
So far, the most significant indicators are in the Aurgazinsky and Sterlitamaksky districts, where 17 and 18 thousand tons of new crop grain were harvested, respectively. The yield of winter crops in the leading districts exceeds 4 tons per hectare.
Also, agricultural enterprises and farmers in seven regional districts harvest winter camelina. 1.9 thousand hectares of oilseed crops were threshed, and 1.6 thousand tons of oilseeds were collected.
