Bashkiria has almost quadrupled the volume of seed exports for sowing, as stated by the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor department for the region.
From January to July 15, 2024, the supervisory agency inspected 205 batches of grain and fodder seeds prepared by Bashkortostan seed producers for export to the EAEU and EU countries. The total weight of shipped seeds of vetch, sweet clover, awnless brome, alfalfa, oats, wheat, Sudanese grass, sainfoin, and barley amounted to 4,138 tons. Seeds for sowing were shipped to Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan by road.
“All batches of seed material underwent a full cycle of research in the Bashkir testing laboratory following the requirements of importing countries. According to the results of phytosanitary examinations, no quarantine organisms were identified, and all products meet the requirements of importing countries. Phytosanitary certificates were issued for all cargo with seed material,” noted the regional department of Rosselkhoznadzor.
For comparison. Over the same period last year, Bashkiria exported more than 1,122 tons of vetch, mustard, sweet clover, alfalfa, sainfoin, and barley seeds for sowing.
