Over the six months of 2024, Bashkiria exported 307 thousand tons of grain and processed products, 20 percent more than in January-June last year. Then, almost 250 thousand tons of grain and processed products were sent abroad from the region.
According to the Rosselkhoznadzor office for Bashkiria, the volume of supplies and the list of foreign counterparties purchasing Bashkir grain has increased - from 13 to 19. Grain this year was shipped to Afghanistan, Belarus, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Serbia and other countries. Bashkortostan enterprises exported wheat, barley, flax, peas, safflower, oats, chickpeas, buckwheat, camelina, milk thistle, vetch and other crops.
Samples of all export cargo shipments were thoroughly tested in the Bashkir testing laboratory, which is subordinate to Rosselkhoznadzor. The examination results indicate that the products meet the requirements of importing countries.
The supervisory agency stated that in Bashkiria's overall structure of agricultural exports, the main share falls on oil and fat products and grains.
