Uzbekistan may open agrological center in Bashkiria

Uzbekistan plans to open logistics centers in Russian regions. This was announced at the working group's first meeting in Moscow to increase trade turnover between the two countries. The main goal is to increase the volume of trade between the countries to $30 billion by 2030, reports the press service of the government of Bashkortostan.

Achieving this goal will be facilitated by the creation of new enterprises (today, there are more than 3,000 enterprises with Russian participation in Uzbekistan), the expansion of the supply of food products, and the development of a network of agrological complexes in Uzbekistan and Russia. According to Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach, the Uzbek side plans to open logistics centers in Russia.

“Thanks to implementing these plans, we will increase Russian supplies of meat, fish, oils, grain, sugar, and confectionery to Uzbekistan. In turn, we will purchase vegetables, fruits, nuts, coffee, tea,” noted Dmitry Volvach.

According to the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria - Minister of Economic Development and Investment Policy of the Republic Rustam Muratov, the possibility of building a logistics center for goods from Uzbekistan on the republic territory is being considered. It is also planned to create two joint technology parks in Bashkiria and Uzbekistan. As a result of the visit of the official delegation of Bashkiria to Uzbekistan, a road map was signed to expand cooperation between Bashkiria and the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The document includes 9 areas and 24 events in trade, industry, agriculture, social and youth policy, and other vital areas of cooperation. Bashinform previously talked about this.

Over the past two months, 10 Uzbek delegations from five regions visited Bashkiria: the Bukhara, Tashkent, Fergana, and Namangan regions, as well as the Republic of Karakalpakstan. This week, a delegation from Karakalpakstan, including companies from wholesale trade, logistics, agriculture, and livestock, is expected to visit Bashkiria.

Uzbekistan is one of Bashkiria's key partners. Based on the results of the first 4 months of this year, trade turnover with this country increased by 63.5% compared to last year, while 87% of mutual trade turnover consisted of export supplies of products from Bashkiria. As part of the VI All-Russian Investment Sabantuy “Trans-Urals-2024”, a meeting of the working group on the interaction between Bashkiria and Uzbekistan was held for the first time, which ended with the signing of a roadmap for trade and economic cooperation between the two regions. The document includes 92 projects in industrial cooperation and investment, social policy, healthcare, education, tourism, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
