The Central Bank's order expanded the previously existing list of signs of fraudulent transactions (from 3 to 6). The new order will take effect on July 25. On the same day, a law will come into effect allowing victims of financial fraud to get their money back.
Thus, transfers will be considered fraudulent if the data of the recipient of funds is in the database of cases of money transfers without the voluntary consent of the client; matching information about devices from which access to money transfer systems is obtained with devices from the database; discrepancy between the transaction parameters (time, recipient’s name, amount, etc.) and those usually performed by the client; coincidence of information about a recipient previously included in the list of recipients of funds without the client’s consent or if a criminal case has been initiated against the recipient in connection with such actions; availability of information obtained as part of anti-fraud measures.
If transfers made by citizens meet one of the above criteria, they will be suspended.
