Retail trade turnover increased in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, retail trade turnover in January–April 2024 amounted to 451.3 billion rubles, or 114% (in comparable prices) by January–April 2023, Bashkir Statistical Agency reported.

“In January–April 2024, 93.9% of retail trade turnover was formed by trading organizations and individual entrepreneurs outside the market. The share of retail markets and fairs amounted to 6.1% (in January–April 2023 - 93.5% and 6.5%, respectively),” Bashkir Statistical Agency said in a statement.

In the structure of retail trade turnover in January–April 2023, the share of food products, including drinks, tobacco, and non-food products, was 51.5% and 48.5%, respectively (in January–April 2023, 50.9% and 49 1%).

Food products, including drinks and tobacco, were sold to the population for 232.5 billion rubles or 115.0% (comparable prices) compared to January-April last year, and non-food products for 218.8 billion rubles or 113.0%, respectively.

“As of May 1, 2024, the volume of inventory in retail trade organizations amounted to 63.1 billion rubles or 42 days of trading,” concluded the Bashkortostan statisticians.
