Industrial production index for Bashkiria exceeds Russian average
The industrial production index for Bashkiria continues to decline but remains above the Russian average.
The IPI in the Republic in May 2024 amounted to 106.0% compared to May 2023, in January-May 2024 - 107.4% compared to January-May 2023. In Russia, this figure was 105.3% and 105.2%, respectively.
Two industrial activity sectors—manufacturing (111.3%) and energy (102.6% )—showed positive dynamics over the five months of 2024.
Production volumes decreased by 91.6% and 92.9% in the raw materials sector and in water supply, sanitation, pollution control, waste collection, and disposal, respectively.
