Highway construction in Bashkiria will be financed by the National Welfare Fund

The Russian Ministry of Finance announced the results of placing funds from the National Welfare Fund in the first half of 2024. As of July 1, its volume amounted to about 12.6 trillion rubles or 7% of the projected 2024 GDP.

The Ministry of Finance informs that in June 2024, NWF funds were placed in securities of Russian issuers, in particular, in shares of banks, Rostec, Territorial Development Fund, etc. It is also noted that NWF funds for 95.8 billion rubles will be invested in bonds of the State Corporation "Rosavtodor" to finance the infrastructure project "Construction of the Kazan—Ekaterinburg highway on the Dyurtyuli—Achit section."

As Bashinform News Agency reported, the Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, discussed the prospects for implementing this federal project in Bashkiria with the country’s road industry leaders at the end of last year. Let us remind you that 140 km of the Kazan—Yekaterinburg highway runs through the republic. We were talking about maintaining the site and saturating it with roadside infrastructure. Construction of the route is scheduled to be completed in December 2024.
