Bashkiria agreed with Minsk Automobile Plant

In Vitebsk (Republic of Belarus), the government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, OJSC MAZ, and the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant (UTTP) entered into a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by the Prime Minister of Bashkortostan Andrei Nazarov, the General Director of MAZ OJSC - the management company of the BELAVTOMAZ holding, Valery Ivankovich, and the First Deputy General Director of UTTP Sergey Yakovlev.

The head of the Bashkortostan Cabinet of Ministers noted that five years ago, the Belarusian MAZ became a strategic partner of UTTP, and this cooperation is only intensifying. At the beginning of 2023, the Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant signed a significant partnership agreement with the Minsk plant, which, among other things, involves production, service, and dealer activities.

“Our agreement today is to develop the production of urban electric transport and electric mobility technologies on the territory of Bashkortostan. We agreed on creating an LLC “Territory for the Development of Electric Transport “MAZ-Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant.” UTTP receives a lot of orders, but there is not enough capacity. Today’s communication between Bashkortostan and Belarus is evidence of the extremely effective establishment of joint production,” emphasized the Prime Minister of Bashkortostan.

The Republic of Bashkortostan actively cooperates with MAZ OJSC. There are licensed dealers and service centers, and MAZ equipment is actively used in agriculture, housing, and communal services.
