State Assembly of Bashkiria adopted law on region’s budget execution in 2023

The acting Minister of Finance of the Republic, Svetlana Malinskaya, presented the main parameters for executing the republican budget in 2023 at the final meeting of the spring session of the State Assembly of Bashkiria. She noted that the primary goal of the republic’s financial and budgetary policy in the reporting year was the timely fulfillment of spending obligations while maintaining a balanced and sustainable budget with an optimal tax and debt burden.

“The implementation of a responsible budget policy in 2023 ensured the financing of social support measures for the population aimed at improving the quality of life, preserving the health and well-being of people, creating a comfortable and safe environment, supporting business entities that were most affected by the pandemic and sanctions pressure, as well as mobilization of revenue sources and optimization of expenses on the principles of increasing their effectiveness,” noted Svetlana Malinskaya.

The main parameters of the Bashkortostan budget in 2023 were as follows: revenues amounted to 283.4 billion rubles, expenses—300.6 billion rubles, and budget deficit—17.2 billion rubles, against the planned value of 22.4 billion rubles.
