Bashkiria triples horses’ export to Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan

Bashkiria has almost tripled its horse exports to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor department for the region reported.

From January 9 to June 10 this year, the supervisory agency inspected 48 shipments of horses in the republic prepared for shipment to the countries of the Customs Union.

“For five months of this year, the total number of horses inspected and registered by specialists of the veterinary inspection department at the State Border of the Russian Federation and transported for export to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to 830 heads. The high demand for horse breeding products in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan stimulates the intensive development of Bashkiria's traditional livestock industry. In 2023, 308 horses were exported from Bashkiria to the EAEU countries,” stated the Rosselkhoznadzor department.

Before export, the horses underwent all necessary laboratory tests during quarantine.

Let us remind you that within the framework of the national goal of “Decent and effective work and successful entrepreneurship,” the national project “International Cooperation and Export” is being implemented. Its goal is to ensure real growth in exports of non-commodity and non-energy goods by at least 70 percent by 2030 compared to 2020.
