From January 9 to June 10, 2024, the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for Bashkiria controlled 203 export lots of forage grass seeds, grains, and leguminous crops for sowing, totaling 4113 tons of seeds. This is more than four times more than for the corresponding period in 2023.
Among the seeds exported by Bashkortostan enterprises are vetch, sweet clover, awnless rump, alfalfa, oats, wheat, Sudan grass, sainfoin, and barley. The region's seed producers export their products to the countries of the European and Customs Unions: Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Selected samples of regulated products underwent entomological and herbological studies in the Bashkir testing laboratory, which is subordinate to Rosselkhoznadzor. The results of phytosanitary examinations showed no quarantine organisms, and all shipped products meet the requirements of importing countries.
199 phytosanitary certificates were issued for the entire cargo of seed material. Seeds for planting were shipped by road.
Within the framework of the national goal of “Decent and effective work and successful entrepreneurship,” the national project “International Cooperation and Export” is being implemented. Its goal is to ensure real growth in exports of non-resource and non-energy goods by at least 70 percent by 2030 compared to 2020, Bashinform News Agency reported.
