Head of Bashkortostan met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran

At the XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum site, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, met with Kazem Jalali, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation.

The head of the region noted that Bashkir-Iranian ties have reached a qualitatively new level.

“Business delegations from the Islamic Republic of Iran began to come to us. At the end of May, Iranian entrepreneurs took part in the All-Russian Investment Sabantuy, which took place in Sibay. I want to reiterate that we are ready to cooperate with colleagues from Iran actively. I want to take this opportunity to invite Mr. Ambassador to visit our republic. On July 6, we are opening the first stage of the Eurasian Museum of Nomadic Civilizations; on August 31, we will host large federal events in honor of the 450th anniversary of Ufa. We will be glad to see you as an honored guest at these events,” said Radiy Khabirov.

The head of Bashkortostan expressed sincere condolences in connection with the tragic death of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and members of the Iranian delegation. It said that the republic mourned together with the people of the Islamic Republic.

Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali emphasized that Bashkortostan is one of Russia's most developed and largest regions.

According to him, the visit of the Head of Bashkortostan to Iran became the basis for the development of friendly relations between Tehran and the republic.

“We hope that these relations will move to a new qualitative level. Bashkortostan has enormous potential and opportunities for such interaction. We have similar cultures, and when we were with you, we felt at home,” said Kazem Jalali.
