Head of Bashkiria met at SPIEF with Russia's Minister of Industry and Trade

On the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Radiy Khabirov, the Head of Bashkortostan, met with Anton Alikhanov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, who was recently appointed to this post.

Bashkortostan is one of the locomotives of industrial development in the country, Anton Alikhanov emphasized during the meeting.

The head of Bashkortostan congratulated Anton Alikhanov on his new appointment, noting that this is a severe and responsible step.

One of the main tasks today is strengthening defense capabilities. This direction is one of the priorities for the region, stated the Head of Bashkortostan, noting the active work of the enterprises of the Rostec group. First, we will talk about a strategic enterprise such as UMPO.

As Radiy Khabirov emphasized in a conversation with the minister, staffing industrial enterprises is an important issue.

The republic attaches equal importance to the development of the special economic zone “Alga,” industrial and technology parks, and the implementation of cluster policy. At the same time, special attention is paid to the development of the manufacturing industry. Radiy Khabirov noted several regional programs to support various industries.

At the same time, in Ufa, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the RV-1 radio-electronic technology park is being built. Today, this is one of the most important areas. The Head of Bashkortostan said that by the end of 2024, this technology park will already operate at full capacity.

He also recalled that Bashkortostan is building close ties between science and production within the Eurasian NEC framework.
