Site has been allocated for “Production of artificial polymers” project in Bashkiria

By order of the Head of the Republic, the “Salavat Plant of Artificial Polymers” LLC was given a land plot with 519 thousand square meters for rent without bidding to implement the priority investment project “Production of Artificial Polymers.”

The Khiminvest company plans to implement a large-scale import substitution project in the region. Its general director, Sergey Medvedev, spoke about his intentions to build the Salavat plant of artificial polymers—a production complex for producing cellulose nitrates from plant raw materials and aniline. These products have not yet been made in Russia. However, they are in demand in various industries, including printing, medicine, and the automotive industry.

The innovative project is planned to be implemented in several stages. The total investment volume is about 54 billion rubles. Once production reaches its design capacity, the plant will employ more than 500 specialists.

The production complex site will also include a center for polymer research and development, an experimental laboratory, and a scientific and technological base for undergraduate and graduate students of specialized universities.

As a result of the discussion, the project received priority status with tax preferences. In the future, the Salavat Artificial Polymer Plant may become one of the residents of the Alga Special Economic Zone.
