Passenger traffic on Bashkortostan railway has increased by almost quarter since year beginning

Based on the results of four months of 2024, more than 6.6 million tons were loaded onto railway transport in Bashkiria (almost a third of the total volume of the entire loading of the Kuibyshev Railway), about 1.7 million passengers were transported (+22.7% compared to the same period last year). At the end of this year, investments in Bashkiria will amount to more than 5.4 billion rubles (almost a third higher than the 2023 figure).

The Republic of Bashkortostan is also a leader in developing suburban transportation. More modern Lastochka and Orlan trains are on the routes, and new tourist destinations are being launched. Work continues with the Government of the region and JSC “Bashkortostan Suburban Passenger Company” on the development of the “urban electric train” project in the territory of the Ufa urban district. In particular, a decision was made to reconstruct the Chernikovka station, develop access roads, and create a full-fledged transport hub for residents of the Yarkiy district in the new station area.
