Industrial production index in Bashkiria exceeded Russian average

The industrial production index for the republic in April 2024 was 104.3% compared to April last year and 107.8% in January-April 2024 compared to January-April 2023. This figure was 103.9% and 105.2% in the Russian Federation, respectively. The Bashkir Statistical Agency published such data.

Positive dynamics were noted in two sectors of industrial activity: manufacturing—111.8% by January-April 2023, and energy—103.8%. A decrease was recorded in the raw materials sector and the water supply, sanitation, pollution control, waste collection, and disposal sectors—91.7% and 92.7%, respectively.

Among manufacturing industries, high growth rates in January–April of this year were observed in the production of electrical equipment, food products, printing activities, production of paper and paper products, machinery and equipment, beverages, computers, electronic and optical products, coke and petroleum products, other non-metallic minerals products.

Positive dynamics were noted in producing other finished products, rubber and plastic products, metallurgy, furniture, vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, medicines, chemicals and chemical products, and other vehicles and equipment.

From January to April last year, the production of leather and leather products, machinery and equipment repair and installation, wood processing, clothing production, finished metal products, and textiles decreased.
