Work is proceeding as planned, according to the official website of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
As Deputy Prime Minister—Minister of Agriculture of the region Ilshat Fazrakhmanov reported at a weekly operational meeting at the Republican Management Center, Bashkortostan farmers sowed 1.57 million hectares as part of spring field work, which is 72 percent of the plan.
Earlier, Ilshat Fazrakhmanov noted that farmers were provided with a sufficient amount of seeds and equipment. In 2024, 150 more sowing and tillage units entered the fields than last year. In total, in the first three months of 2024, farmers purchased 325 units of agricultural equipment worth 1.5 billion rubles.
“Since the beginning of the year, the republic’s farms have purchased 56 tractors of various traction types, 21 grain harvesters, more than 80 units of tillage and seeding machines, as well as other equipment,” stated Deputy Prime Minister of the Government and Minister of Agriculture of Bashkiria Ilshat Fazrakhmanov. “Thanks to the active renewal of the technical fleet in the region’s agro-industrial complex, the duration of sowing over the past three years has been reduced by three to four days. Thus, in total, 11 thousand tillage and 5 thousand sowing units will take part in the spring fieldwork this year. This is 150 units more than in 2023.”
Bashkortostan farmers also report about updating their vehicle fleet and purchasing new agricultural machines.
In Bashkiria, there is a regional program for updating the technical fleet of the agro-industrial complex. Under this program, farmers are reimbursed up to 50% of the costs of purchasing agricultural equipment. Over five years, from 2019 to 2023, the republic’s agricultural producers received 7.2 billion rubles in subsidies.
