Banks cannot limit the size or number of free transfers per day between a citizen’s accounts in different banks to 30 million rubles, which by law can be transferred without commission. The regulator's website reports this.
The Bank of Russia recommends that banks ensure compliance with the terms of the law as soon as possible.
“A person has the right to transfer the entire amount or part of it between his accounts using any available channel of remote banking services - both using account details and through the Faster Payments System. Exceptions include transfers directly to bank branches and transactions using cards,” the Central Bank said in a statement.
